The Japanese word for tea is cha, which is usually called o-cha with an honorific prefix o-. O-cha almost always refers to green tea, though it can sometimes include the Japanese what black tea is to the British. In spite of the increasing popularity of English tea and coffee, green tea has been a national drink for centuries. But you may be surprised to find that the tea is bitter. "And kind of tea which Japanese people often drink after meals"
